Each year, the Pinal County Coalition to End Homelessness (PCCEH) must adopt a Strategic Plan. The strategic plan must align with and address system performance measures established by the Arizona Balance of State Continuum of Care. The PCCEH is pleased to share updates on our annual goals.
This week, we are highlighting the System Performance Measure of reducing the length of time a person is without housing as measured by their time in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This data can be verified at: https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/hmisaz/viz/BOS-SystemPerformanceMeasures/QuarterComparison
The Arizona Balance of State Continuum of Care has set a benchmark that no person should be without housing longer than 90 days. To address this, the PCCEH conferences all clients in HMIS who are in the system for 60 days or more. Through case conferencing, we discuss the client’s needs and determine if any resources may assist them. Clients are also housed based on our By Name List and the priorities identified in the Case Conferencing Procedures adopted by the PCCEH. The case conferencing meetings happen every other Thursday. The PCCEH has also updated the Housing Inventory Count and placed it on our website. This information assists us when identifying housing availability.
As a result of these efforts, the PCCEH has reduced the time a person is without housing in Pinal County for 51 days (as of the 2nd quarter of 2025).
