Anticipated Attendance: 100-300 community members, homeless individuals, and service providers.
The event will include:
- A solemn remembrance ceremony with a reading of names of those lost
- A resource fair with tables from housing providers, benefits enrollment, health services, and
more - Distribution of food, water, hygiene supplies, and seasonal necessities (socks, gloves, hats)
- Direct connections between guests and housing providers who may be able to house someone
that day - Mental health, substance use, and Veterans’ resources
Faithful Footsteps Street Outreach in partnership with A Servant’s Hands, will host the first National Day of Remembrance for the Homeless in Casa Grande, Arizona. This day is meant to honor the memory of those who lost their lives while experiencing homelessness and to provide resources and services to unhoused individuals.
Faithful Footsteps Street Outreach and A Servant’s Hands are looking for agencies who would like to be a part of this day. Your agency can provide support to the event and also share your resources and services with the community.
