About Us

The Pinal County Coalition to End Homelessness (PCCEH) is a multi-agency coalition with the common goal of ending homelessness. The PCCEH falls under the umbrella of the State of Arizona Balance of State Continuum of Care (https://housing.az.gov/housing-partners/special-needs-hp). The Arizona Department of Housing serves as the lead agency for the Continuum of Care for the 13 nonmetro counties in the state. A Continuum of Care is a community planning process to organize and deliver housing and services to meet the specific needs of people experiencing homelessness as they move to stable housing and maximum selfsufficiency.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the PCCEH is to coordinate the implementation of a housing and service delivery system that meets the needs of persons experiencing or at risk of homelessness throughout Pinal County. Through a coordinated response, the PCCEH aims to ensure all people experiencing a housing crisis are quickly identified, have their needs assessed, and are connected to housing and assistance based on their needs.

Although the PCCEH does not provide direct services, the continuum of services provided through the partnering agencies of the PCCEH is designed to meet the specific needs of people who are experiencing homelessness. Through the PCCEH, service providers work collaboratively within a community network to provide individualized services to Pinal County residents to achieve housing stability and prevent a return to homelessness.

Services

The continuum of services provided through the member agencies of the PCCEH includes: outreach to homeless individuals, referrals to and connections with emergency shelter, connections to transitional housing with supportive services, and connections to permanent and permanent supportive housing.

Members in PCCEH include governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, health agencies, and more.

Partnering agencies utilize the Coordinated Entry process established by the PCCEH, participate in case
conferencing and placement of person in housing, and contribute to the Balance of State Homeless
Management Information System (HMIS).

The PCCEH meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to any individual or organization that
embraces the mission, values, and goals of the PCCEH. The individual or organization must have an interest in
understanding and addressing the issues related to homelessness, and a desire to participate in some way in
the PCCEH’s most current strategic plan to end homelessness.
