The United Way of Pinal County is hosting its annual golf tournament on April 24, 2026. This tournament raises important funds for the Pinal County Reading by 3rd Grade Initiative, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. They have 3,300 children across all zip codes in Pinal County receiving a book in the mail monthly to help develop critical literacy skills and a love for books to prepare for kindergarten and beyond. (40,000 books mailed to Pinal County annually) The 2025 test scores reflect that only 27% of Pinal County 3rd graders are reading, and many cities within Pinal County are around 15% reading. This is a critical benchmark, and this event raises funds to support our children and ensure they are prepared for kindergarten and reading.
